Disney+ secures deal with Polsat Box ahead of Polish launch

Disney has secured distribution for its Disney+ offering with Polsat Plus Group ahead of the streamer’s Polish launch tomorrow.

Disney+ will be available via the offerings of Polsat Box, Plus, Netia and Polsat Box Go, making Polsat Plus Group the only Polish operator to integrate Disney+ at launch.

Polsat Box, the group’s pay TV service, will make Disney+ available in packages from PLN35 a month, while mobile arm Plus will make the service available free of change for one year with new subscriptions for 4G/5G and fibre-based internet.

The IPTV service will include the streamer in four packages – S, M, M Sport and L – for PLN35, PLN45, PLN70 and PLN70 a month respectively. The Polsat Box internet TV offering will include Disney+ as part of its Wygodny, Komfortowy and Bogaty packages for PLN35, PLN45 and PLN70 respectively.

Subsidiary Netia will make the service available for free for one year as part of its fixed line internet offerings and packages that include TV. Netia subscribers will be able to access Disney+ at no extra charge for two years if they take three subscription services, meaning internet, TV and phone customers will benefit, with a price of PLN28.99 thereafter.

Mobile TV offering Polsat Box Go Premium will integrate Disney+, providing the streamer along with over 100 channels and on-demand services at a promotional price of PLN50 a month.
