Canal+ Polska adds 4K UHD sports and TV to streaming service

Canal+ Polska has launched 4K coverage of top-tier Polish and international football, TV series and movies on its online streaming platform.

Viewers will be able to watch content including streaming channels Canal+ 4K Ultra HD and Eleven Sports 1 4K as well as a range of on-demand content in 4K on the platform.

Sports coverage now available in 4K includes Polish Ekstraklasa and Spanish La Liga football. The operator said that the addition of Eleven Sports 1 4K will also bring sports including Formula 1 racing in ultra high-definition to its viewers.

TV shows available in the format on the streaming service include Powrót, Planeta Singli. Osiem historii, The Office PL, Klangor, Król and Kruk. Szepty słychać po zmroku.

The Canal+ 4K Ultra HD channel and on-demand content have been made available at no additional charge to all Cnaal+ streaming subscribers with a package of Canal+ channels and to customers who use Canal+ online as part of their satellite offering.

Elevent Sports 1 4K is included in the Eleven Sports and Polsat Sport Premium package at no additional cost.

The 4K online service will be available initially in the Canal+ online app on Sony TVs operating the Android OS from 2017-21, Samsung TVs operating the Tizen OS from 2018, 2020 and 2021, the Canal+ 4K set-top, Amazon Fire TV Cube, Amazon Fire TV 4K stick and the Nvidia Shield streaming box.
