TiVo and TELEV8 to ‘transform’ video delivery for hospitality venues

TiVo has announced a partnership with TELEV8 that will see the hotel TV business leverage its IPTV service for hospitality and visitor-based venues.

The company said that TELEV8 will deliver “a new and compelling entertainment experience for hotels and other commercial venues,” while enabling hotels and other commercial venues to offer premium video at lower costs.

The solution will combine TiVo’s tech platform for delivering a content-first entertainment experience and personalised content discovery with TELEV8’s experience in the hospitality industry to ‘transform’ how linear programming is delivered.

Charles Siemonsma, co-CEO of TELEV8, said: “Evolving viewership habits and content decentralisation are continuing to reshape the role of television. Commercial venues are increasingly pressured to deliver on the rapid consumer adoption of streaming video applications and the introduction of app-based TV in partnership with TiVo is the future of content delivery.”
