Teleste names new CEO

Broadband and TV technology provider Teleste has named Esa Harju as its new president and CEO, effective as of January next year.

Harju will replace Jukka Rinnevaara, who has reached his contractual retirement age of 60.

Harju has been a member of Teleste’s management group since 2016 in the role of SVP, video security and information. Before joining Teleste, he was the CEO of Ixonos Plc and, prior to that, the CEO of Nokia Siemens Networks Finland. He has also held various international executive positions at Nokia.

Rinnevaara will step down from his role as CEO at the end of 2021. He has agreed to complete certain strategic projects specified by the board and, during the early part of next year, will focus on supporting the transition.
