SPI/FilmBox has agreed a deal with ViacomCBS AVOD platform Pluto TV to bring its Filmstream channel to Latin America.
The distribution deal will see the channel, which broadcasts classic cinema from filmmakers such as Alfred Hitchcock and Federico Fellini, launch in 18 Latin American countries. The new markets include Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, and Mexico.
Berkin Ecevit, Sales & Business Development Director at SPI International, said: “We are excited to expand our partnership with Pluto TV to include another top-quality product that combines premium content curation with the ease of the lean-back entertainment experience. Filmstream’s slate of critically-acclaimed and insightful movies will now captivate more movie lovers of all ages through our deal with Pluto TV,” added Ecevit.
This is the latest agreement between SPI and Pluto TV. The streaming platform also carries the shopping and lifestyle channel FashionBox.
