Former Technicolor exec Muylkens appointed MD at Zappware Belgium

Zappware Belgium has announced the appointment of Koen Muylkens as its managing director.

Muylkens takes over from Patrick Vos, who will become an executive director at the Swiss group’s head office in Zurich.

The new exec joins from digital home connectivity company SoftAtHome, where he set up and managed the Belgian R&D center of the Paris-based company. Earlier in his career, Muylkens held different leadership positions at the French multinational media and communications corporation Technicolor.

Jan Reinhart, managing director at Reinhart Capital, said: “I am convinced that Koen Muylkens is the perfect fit to lead the Belgian-based Zappware entity. With his entrepreneurial spirit and his strong technical background, he will help us master the fast-paced technological evolution of this industry.” 

Koen Muylkens said: “I have always been impressed by the track record of Zappware over the 20 years of its existence. It has led the technology life cycle in the video business ever since and I am now honoured to be appointed to lead this unit. Excited to write the next chapter in home entertainment with this talented team in Hasselt.”
