Eleven secures rights to WTA in Portugal

Eleven has picked up rights to the Women’s Tennis Association for three seasons from 2021-23 in Portugal.

The sports broadcaster will air the WTA Finals and WTA 1000 tournaments live across its linear and digital channels. In total, the channel will show a total of 10 tournaments a season.

The WTA rights complement Eleven’s existing tennis portfolio which includes the ATP 250. Eleven also holds a wide range of sports rights in Portugal including UEFA Champions League, LaLiga, Bundesliga F1 and NFL. 

Eleven also highlighted that the WTA rights will build on its dedicated Women content platform which was first announced in August 2020. The broadcaster currently shows comprehensive coverage of the Belgian Women’s Super League and the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
