CDN and video streaming solutions provider Broadpeak saw solid growth in 2020 despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
The company reported a year-over-year sales increase of 42% with a CAGR of 43% between 2015-20. Broadpeak, celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2020, said that it added 17 new customers in the year including tier-1 operators to take its clientbase to more than 100 companies.
Broadpeak said that it will spend 2021 expanding its engineering, sales, and customer service teams in order to support this growing client base.
Jacques Le Mancq, CEO at Broadpeak, said: “While this has been an unprecedented time with some exceptional and complicated challenges, we feel optimistic about the future. COVID has triggered a higher demand for ultra-fast broadband and high-performance WiFi, which we believe will make our customers come out of the pandemic stronger.
“We are also seeing greater opportunities for super aggregators and an accelerated growth for pure OTT service providers, coupled with a critical need for streaming companies to provide exceptional quality of experience, similar to Netflix.”
