ITV revamps data and AI team with new leadership appointments

ITV has announced a handful of appointments in its data division as the broadcaster continues to expand its direct-to-consumer business and AI strategy.

The four newly created leadership positions all sit under Sanjeevan Bala, the group chief data and AI officer. Bala joined the broadcaster in May 2020, and the appointments come as the latest step in ITV’s data evolution and consolidation within its More than TV strategy.

Lara Izlan has been promoted to director of data Strategy and will be responsible for developing and delivering data and Ai value use cases across the business. Clemence Burnichon, joining from Depop, becomes director of data innovation and will be responsible for delivering an offensive data strategy and fostering relationships with universities to deliver applied academic research to business opportunities.

Also appointed in the division are Mike Leverington, who will join as director of data experimentation from The Body Shop in March, and Kat Holmes as director of data governance.

Of the new hires, Bala said: “I am delighted to have secured such diverse, talented leaders to help drive ITV’s more than TV strategy.”
