Pluto TV European MD Jollet promoted to lead ViacomCBS emerging business across EMEAA

Olivier Jollet, the managing director of Pluto TV’s European operations, has been promoted by ViacomCBS Networks International (VCNI) to the newly created role of senior vice president emerging business, ViacomCBS Networks EMEAA (VCN EMEAA).

Jollet was the co-founder and managing director of digital TV-like service Quazer until it was acquired by Pluto TV in 2016, at which point he was handed the reins to lead the European strategy and business development.

While also continuing as MD Europe for Pluto, this new position will see Jollet head up a new business unit which includes the entire digital portfolio for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia (EMEAA). This role encompasses the strategy and operations across AVOD, SVOD, mobile services and products, advanced advertising and ViacomCBS Digital Studios International (VDSI).

Jollet will report to Raffaele Annecchino, president of VCN EMEAA, who said: “I am thrilled that Olivier will be taking on this new role. Olivier’s digital expertise and entrepreneurial approach are essential to driving growth in these critical areas of the business. With digital initiatives in the region managed by Jollet, we will be ideally positioned to expand our integrated digital ecosystem while offering audiences the best of our brands, products, content and platforms.”

Jollet will no doubt be tasked with responsibility for the rollout of ViacomCBS’s ‘super streamer’ which will launch in 2021.
