The service is the dedicated streaming home for movies and shows from Disney’s properties such as Pixar, Marcel, Star Wars, National Geographic along with its almost-century’s worth of own-brand content. It also offers a range of originals such as hit action series Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Lady & The Tramp.
While declining to specify numbers by region, Disney said that its offer in India through Hotstar already accounts for eight million paying subscribers, approximately 16% of the overall total.
