Virgin Media offers more channels at no extra cost

Liberty Global-owned Virgin Media is to make 18 entertainment channels available to customers at no extra cost until May 2.

Channels including Comedy Central, Discovery, Fox, Gold and MTV will be available to all TV customers from today.

The move will bring shows including War of the Worldsand NCISfrom Fox, Only Fools & Horsesand Gavin & Staceyfrom Gold and Gold Rushand Wheeler Dealerfrom Discovery to a wider range of customers.

Virgin Media earlier gave its TV customers free access to a number of kids TV channels such as Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon until April 21.

The offer of free channels includes associated on-demand content.

The full range of new channels available to all are Comedy Central, DMAX, Discovery,Fox, Gold, Box Hits, Kerrang,Kiss, Magic,ID, Lifetime.MTV. TCM.TLC, Rishtey,Rishtey Cineplex, Sony SABand Colors

The range of kids channels available to all are Cartoon Networ, Boomerang, Cartoonito, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, Nick Toons and Nick Jr Too.

Along with the kids TV offering, Virgin Media also gave 2.7million of its pay monthly mobile customers an additional 10GB data and unlimited minutes at no extra cost, as well as permanently removing data caps for customers on its legacy broadband.
