Telekom Deutschland chief Dirk Wössner is to leave Deutsche Telekom group at the end of this year. Wössner told the Deutsche Telekom supervisory board executive committee that he will not seek a renewal of his current contract when it expires on December 31.
Wössner joined the Deutsche Telekom board of management at the start of 2018, responsible for the sales, marketing, and service of fixed-network and mobile products for consumers and business customers in Germany. He also serves as managing director of Telekom Deutschland.
He has been hired as CEO of healthcare software provider CompuGroup Medical, where he will replace the current incumbent Frank Gotthardt, the company’s main shareholder, who is becoming head of the company’s supervisory board. Wössner will take on his new role at the start of next year.
The committee accepted Wössner’s decision “with regret” and has already started the search for a successor.
The company said that it would aim for “an orderly succession”.
