Vivacom to distribute quartet of Russian international channels

Bulgarian service provider Vivacom is to provide satellite distribution for a quartet of popular Russian TV channels, which it has also added to its domestic pay TV line-up.

Vivacom will distribute Russian entertainment channels TNT Russia, TV-3 International, Friday! International and TNT4 International via satellite to pay TV operators across Europe and Asia from the 36° east orbital slot operated by Eutelsat. The four channels will also join Vivacom’s pay TV packages in Bulgaria.

“Cooperation with Vivacom has ensured for us secure and reliable distribution of international versions of TNT, TV-3, TNT4 and Friday! TV channels. We have significantly expanded our coverage as well as having made serious progress in achieving our distribution goals,” the joint press service of the Russian TV channels said.

Vanya Stoykova-Dobreva, head of national sales for broadcasting services at Vivacom, said: “We are pleased to cooperate with the Russian channels and distribute their brand’s content across Europe and Asia with Vivacom satellite capacities at the 36° [position], herewith providing our partner with a reliable and cost-effective way of delivering content to as many pay TV operators as possible”.

Vivacom provides satellite services from its Plana teleport, serving a range of clients including Fox Networks, Viasat World Limited, National Geographic Channel, bTV Media Groupand Bulgarian National Television.
