Kurdish channel Rudaw launches in UK via Channelbox

Kurdish TV channel Rudaw is launching in the UK. Rudaw is the biggest Kurdish news network delivering news from Iraqi Kurdistan and the Middle East. There are over 250,000 Kurds in the UK, making it one of the largest diasporas in the country.  

Rudaw is the first Kurdish language TV channel to have launched in the UK and will be available via Channelbox on Freeview 271. Channelbox is a multi-channel TV service that caters for international communities living in the UK. The current line-up includes France24, Hellenic TV, Rudaw, Retro Movies and Law & Crime. “We are thrilled to deliver the news to the Kurdish diaspora in the UK and will continue to expand the portfolio of TV channels to cater for every community that makes the UK their home,” said Tanya Kronfli, head of business development at Channelbox.
