Canal+ Polska marketing chief Balicki quits

Polish pay TV operator Canal+’s marketing chief Jacek Balicki has resigned, with the company deciding to divide his responsibilities going forwards.

Balicki, who has been with the operator, owned by Canal+ and Discovery-owned TVN, since 2014, resigned from the Canal+ management board to get involved in a new project outside the company.

Balicki’s responsibilities will be split between Joanna Kloskowska, who will take over as content marketing director, and Grzegorz Skowron-Moszkowicz, who will head up the customer value management department.

Balicki, who was vice president of marketing with a place on the management board, will remain formally with the company until April next year, but will had over his executive responsibilities within the next few days,

His departure will leave a four-strong board comprising president Edyta Sadowska, finance and logistics VP Frederic Berardi, technology and IT VP Jarosław Kordalewski and sales and CRM chief Artur Przybysz.

“We thank Jacek for years of hard work and commitment to the development of the Canal + brand. His charisma and creativity will surely be an inspiration for our company’s marketing activities in the coming years,” said Sadowska.

“It has been five extremely intense and exciting years. I have had the pleasure to work with great people. They are real professionals, and thanks to their hard work, the Canal + brand is synonymous with great entertainment and positive emotions,” said Balicki.
