TDC’s Telmore in new deal with Viaplay

Danish telco TDC’s mobile TV offering Telmore Play has struck a new partnership with Nordic Entertainment’s Viaplay that will enable Telmore customers access Viaplay as part of their Telmore Play subscription, which includes digital services such as TV2 Play, HBO Nordic, Telmore Music and Bookmate.

TDC’s mobile brand Telmore has more than 700,000 customers, of whcih about 200,000 have a subscription to entertainment services. According to TDC, being able to offer customers more than just a mobile subscription, with a focus on entertainment, has always been at the core of Telmore’s ambition.

Under the new agreement with Viaplay, existing services My Bio, C More and Flippwill be dropped from Telmore Play for new customers. Existing customers with these services will however keep them, as will be the case with customer that retain access to legacy Play services Wype and Pling.

Subscribers will be given an option of whether to switch to one of the new Play products with Viaplay.
