Greece’s Cosmote TV signs up Viacom’s Nick+ on-demand service

Viacom International Media Networks has announced the launch of Nick+ on Greece PayTV platform, Cosmote TV.

The new service will offer access to more than 400 hours of Nick entertainment, any time on any device for Cosmote TV subscribers.

Commenting, David Urgell, SVP of strategy, content distribution and digital for VIMN’s Southern & Western Europe, Middle East & Africa cluster, said: “Nickelodeon is a leading kids brand in Greece reaching thousands of families daily. Partnering with the country’s top PayTV platform is an important step for our strategy in Greece, where our multiplatform distribution has increased significantly in the last year.”

The new premium on demand service Nick+ includes episodes from hit shows like PAW Patrol (top), SpongeBob SquarePants, Shimmer and Shine and Dora the Explorer. “People’s TV viewing preferences are changing, as more and more viewers turn to on demand content for their entertainment,” said Dimosthenis Vasilopoulos, Cosmote TV content & production operations director. “With the addition of Nick+, we offer a variety of popular series and family content, enriching our on demand service.”
