Cleeng and Oxagile join forces for OTT TV

OTT subscriber management specialist Cleeng has teamed up with video software provider Oxagile to build new OTT solutions.

Oxagile will contribute to the development of online video platform components that govern complex processes end-to-end, from content ingestion to multiscreen delivery. Cleeng will provide its subscriber retention technology.

Sergey Marchuk, CTO of Oxagile, said that Oxagile had been using various Cleeng technologies in its online video-related projects for some time, and that integrating with Cleeng  “makes it much easier for OVPs to track the entire subscriber journey in detail, including viewing habits and root causes of churn”.

He said that “closer cooperation will help us to deliver new efficiencies to our customers and have an edge over our competitors in the online video sector.”

Donald Res, CTO and founder at Cleeng said: “The focus of this partnership is on subscriber retention in the OTT space. In essence, Cleeng built system of powerful churn reduction mechanisms that Oxagile will be able to leverage in their online video platforms.”

He said that Oxagile’s specialists would “not only masterfully integrate Cleeng Core and Cleeng ChurnIQ out of the box, but expand its functionality further and incorporate more Cleeng modules”.

Res said that the agreement would create “a mutually beneficial partnership that we’re very excited about it.”

Separately, Oxagile has teamed up with content management specialist Vimond to offer joint OTT solutions. The partnership will leverage Vimond’s modular Next architecture and Oxagile’s integration and professional services capability.

“Oxagile relies on Vimond as a leading video PaaS provider that successfully covers the complete media processing lifecycle — from ingestion to management, through to distribution,” said Marchuk.
