Vodafone said that Guest TV enables hotels to offer personalised content to guests and helps them deliver digital marketing aimed at their clientele.
The service allows hotels, among other things, to programme welcome messages to individual guests, supports different languages and enables guests to buy products and services direct from the screen in their room.
The service also allows advertising to be displayed in pop-up form overlaid on TV channels, and for hotels to promote personalised content for their guests.
Guests can also use the TV to request a late check-out and make information requests.
The Maxime Hotel in Praçca de Alegria in Lisbon is the first hotel to make use of the Vodafone offering, according to the operator.
