Türksat is trialling an Ultra HD 8K (Super High-Vision) test channel, which it demoed at the Global SatShow in Istanbul in partnership with Kızıl Elektronik, Vestel and Socionext.
Türksat said in a statement that it is “among the pioneers in the world when it comes to transitioning to Ultra HD 8K,” with the test-broadcast demonstrating Ultra HD 8K footage taken of Istanbul.
The broadcast was made using the Türksat 4B and Türksat-3A communication satellites located at the 50 degrees and 42 East orbital locations.
