Former MTV, Conde Nast and Sundance TV executive Michael Klein has been appointed CEO of digital media company CannabisMD.
Klein will oversee all creative and business operations for CannabisMD, which launched in April 2018, and also becomes CEO of parent company Miraculo Inc. This plans to launch a portfolio of verticals in the cannabis space.
CannabisMD provides consumer information on the potential therapeutic uses of cannabis and cannabidiol (CBD) and the site features scientific and academic studies, videos, news and articles and discussion forums.
Klein was most recently executive vice president of original content at MTV, where he oversaw the development and strategy for all original programming.
Prior to that, he was executive vice president, programming and content strategy at Condé Nast Entertainment and has also held senior positions at Discovery Communications, TLC, and Sundance TV.
“We want to grow cannabisMD into a one-stop destination for comprehensive information and trusted voices, presented in the most compelling ways, so consumers can be smart about determining the benefits of medical cannabis and CBD for their loved ones and themselves,” said Klein.
CannabisMD co-founder and chairman G.
