TV and mobile boost Poland’s Netia

Growth in TV and mobile subscribers helped boost Polish service provider Netia’s mixed set of results for the second quarter.

Netia added 4,000 TV revenue-generating units in the quarter, taking its total to 196,000, along with 2,000 mobile customers, taking its total to 146,000.

Netia said that 53% of broadband customers on its own network now took TV services. While number of services per customer grew, but ARPU remained stable, but TV ARPU increased.

On the downside, the operator saw the number of fixed line customers on its own network decline by 1,000. Netia had 1.453 million B2C customers at the end of June, including 737,000, or just over half, on its own network.

Netia posted revenues of PLN343 million (€80 million), including PLN155 million from the B2C market, with the latter figure down 3% quarter-on-quarter. However EBITDA increased by 3% to PLN93 million.
