Viasat changing sports line-up for Baltics

Viasat Broadcasting is to launch a new sports service for the Baltic states and has ceased broadcasting its Viasat Golf and Viasat Motor channels in the region ahead of the change.

Viasat said the move came after a review of and evaluation of its current line-up of sports channels.

Viasat currently provides coverage of the UEFA Champions League UEFA European League, English Premier League, England Cup, Football, the German Football Cup and the UEFA League of Nations, among other sporting events.

Other content available in the Baltics includes boxing, European basketball, KHL ice-hockey, the WRC World Championship Rally, MotoGP, the X Games, Six Nations rugby and the European handball championship as well as local sporting fixtures.
