Vice Media-owned alternative lifestyle and entertainment TV channel Viceland has extended its reach in The Netherlands by over two million new households following carriage deals with KPN and T-Mobile.
Viceland will bring its mix of international content and local productions to both platforms on July 18.
KPN and T-Mobile subscribers will be able to content including Gaycation starring Ellen Page and Slutever with Karley Sciortino as well as local productions such as Boxing ’82 about a Rotterdam boxing school and The Therapist, where celebrities offer insight into the reality behind their public persona in a series of ‘real-life’ therapy sessions.
Viceland launched in the Netherlands in 2017 on Ziggo and is also available to Caiway subscribers.
Viceland channels are currently broadcast in the US, UK, Ireland, France, Australia, New Zealand, Sub-Saharan Africa, Israel and Benelux, with programming blocks also available in Latin America, Spain and Portugal.
Stefan Tieleman, general manager Viceland and Vice Studios Benelux said: “Just a little over a year after our launch, these two new deals demonstrate our continued growth and development in region. Through our increased distribution on KPN and T-Mobile, almost all households in the Netherlands will now be able to enjoy our slate of international and ever-growing local productions, all offering Vice’s unique and unfiltered view on the world we live in today.”
