Dataxis: Global pay TV, OTT and telecom operator revenue reaches US$410bn

Global revenue for pay TV, over-the-top and telecom operators reached US$410 billion in the fourth quarter of 2017, according to Dataxis stats.

The research covered 80 operators, including major US and European players such as AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, Deutsche Telekom, Telefonica and Vodafone.

Dataxis said that revenues have grown at a compound annual growth rate of 1% from US$381 billion in the first quarter of 2016.

“The market share by players based on revenues, shows that the top 10 players, accounts for 59% revenues, out of the total global revenues,” according to the research.

“The top five players with highest group revenues are: AT&T Group, Verizon, NTT, China Mobile and Deutsche Telekom.”
