Amino names new marketing chief

Set-top and TV technology provider Amino has named Jamie Mackinlay as its new global VP of marketing.

Mackinlay was formerly SVP of sales, marketing and business development at ADB Global, having previously also worked for Paywizard, Orbital Software Group and O2.

In his hew role, he will have responsibility for marketing, product marketing and partner management and will be a member of the company’s executive team, reporting to SVP sales and marketing David Perez, who joined Amino in January of this year.

Amino CEO Donald McGarva said: “Jamie is a very experienced global marketing professional with a great track record in our industry and the wider software solutions sector. He will bring significant expertise and energy to our global marketing efforts and we look forward to him making a substantial contribution to Amino’s growth and development as a technology and solutions provider.”

Perez said: “This hire is central to our continued expansion into high growth market segments of the global pay TV sector. Amino has been investing heavily in solutions for Android TV platforms and next-generation IPTV systems and Jamie will help us maximise this market opportunity.”
