Swiss service provider Net+ has tapped Viaccess-Orca (VO) to power to its new multiscreen TV service.
The Net+ Mobile TV offering is powered by VO Player and offers a unified viewer experience across Android and iOS devices, as well as via web browsers on PCs and Macs.
VO Player is compliant with the DVB-Sub subtitle format and also includes digital rights management (DRM) for video-on-demand and live content.
“Competition amongst OTT providers is intense,” said Romain Lonfat, head of TV at Net+. “To monetise our multiscreen offering, we needed a secure video player that allows us to deliver popular programming, including advanced capabilities like time-shift TV and graphical subtitles, with a short time to market.”
Benoit Brieussel, vice president of sales for VO Player at Viaccess-Orca, said: “The OTT multiscreen environment is always changing, and it’s important that operators differentiate the user experience and ensure a fast time to market for their services.”
“VO’s secure video player is extremely flexible, secure, and high-performing, allowing Net+ to deliver compelling experiences on all connected devices from a single platform.”
