UK rail and coach infotainment provider GoMedia has named former Sky and M7 Group executive Jon Florsheim as non-executive chairman.
GoMedia which provides entertainment, information and advertising cointent systems for train and coach operators, has struck deals with TransPennine Express, Greater Anglia, c2c and West Midlands Rail over the last year, adding to existing customers Eurostar, Virgin Trains and National Express Coaches. The company is led by former Freeview managing director Matt Seaman.
Florsheim previously served as managing director, customer group and chief marketing officer for Sky as well as CEO of pan-European pay TV operator M7 Group.
“GoMedia has made a significant impact on its market in a comparatively short time, transforming the onboard experience for passengers and enabling rail and coach operators to address significant commercial challenges. We’re excited about GoMedia’s opportunities to expand into new territories and other sectors and fortunate to attract an executive of Jon Florsheim’s caliber, whose enviable industry knowledge and contacts will greatly help our continued growth,” said Seaman.
