Kids OTT service Azoomee taps Ostmodern for platform revamp

Azoomee has partnered with video delivery and content management company Ostmodern to relaunch its children’s over-the-top TV platform.

azoomee-620x590The back-end of the revamped service has been built using Ostmodern’s end-to-end video delivery and content management platform Skylark.

Azoomee will use the new content management system to launch its service onto new platforms and in different languages in line with its long-term plans to grow internationally.

The plafom will also allow Azoomee to offer recommendations, tailor the service based on what device a user is accessing it, and to more easily manage and localise its content.

“Skylark brings a number of exciting new capabilities to our service as we continue our mission to keep children safe and entertained online,” said Azoomee founder Douglas Lloyd.

“Azoomee has a library of thousands of videos, games and audiobooks and, because we add new content every week, using the right CMS is absolutely critical to us. With Skylark, we are also well prepared to expand internationally in the near future.”

Ostmodern’s commercial director, Stuart Ferreira-Cole, said: “Skylark allows content owners to bring a mix of media, whether that is video, articles, music or games into a single editorial platform.

“Skylark has put a framework in place for Azoomee to quickly adapt to its user’s behaviours, increased interactivity and the ability to personalise that experience across any device or platform.”

Azoomee is currently available on iOS, Android and Amazon devices. Ostmodern’s has previously worked with companies including the BBC, ITV and Channel 4.
