New Altice Portugal president Alexandre Fonseca has named Alexandre Matos as the company’s new chief financial officer with immediate effect.
Matos previously worked as financial advisor to MSF Group and Maló Group, as COO of Top Atlântica Group, CFO of Pâginas Americas and in management roles at RAR Group and for PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
He replaces Gustavo Monteiro, who has served as interim CFO since April.
The appointment is the latest in a series of management changes at Altice’s Portuguese arm. Former CTO Fonseca took over as executive president last week, with Cláudia Goya transitioning to the role of chairwoman, replacing Paulo Neves.
Altice is engaged in a reorgansiation of the group with a new management structure and governance model ahead of its planned acquisition and integration of the leading Portuguese commercial broadcaster, Media Capital. The acquisition, which is highly controversial in Portugal, is currently undergoing a regulatory review.
