Mediapro expands eSports to Portugal, Latin America

mediapro-logoSpanish broadcaster Mediapro has announced plans to grow its eSports activities internationally – starting in Portugal and then Latin America.

Mediapro Group said it is exporting its Professional Video Games League (LVP) model to Portugal, Mexico and Argentina, with the first professional competitions to be organised in these markets in  the coming season.

“LVP activities are also expected to be expanded to include Colombia, Chile, the United States and other European countries,” said the company in a statement.

“LVP stands out from other eSports competitions due to its enhanced television production, the professionalisation of the competition and greater content distribution.

“With this plan for international expansion, the Mediapro Group is making a firm commitment to this sector through the involvement of all its country headquarters and lines of activity.”
