Vodafone’s Spanish unit will offer all La Liga matches involving leading clubs Real Madrid and Barcelona in 4K, and will provide coverage of two matches each match day in the format.
Subscribers to the Vodafone Fútbol package will also be able to watch Formula 1, MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 motorsports on top of their line-up of football, which includes La Liga 1, 2 and 3, the Champions League and Europa League tournaments and Spain’s Copa del Rey.
Vodafone secured rights to Formula 1 as part of an agreement with Telefónica’s Movistar+ in March, initially offering a new dedicated motorpsorts service for €10 a month.
Vodafone España is also making Vodafone One TV service available on a free trial basis to all Vodafone One converged package customers.
Vodafone One TV includes access to content from HBO España, with which Vodafone struck an exclusive deal last year, and Netflix, along with 120 linear channels, seven-day catch-up and cloud DVR, along with multiscreen access to content.
Vodafone España has invested significantly in 4K. In may the operator struck deals with Sony and Paramount to provide 4K movies as part of its offering.
