Telecom Italia adds raft of movies to VOD service

Telecom Italia (TIM) has struck a deal with Notorious Pictures to bring 71 Italian and international film titles to its TIMVision video-on-demand service.

Movies to be made available to TIM customers as a result of the deal will include Jamie Foxx starrer Sleepless and Notorious Pictures-produced romantic comedy La Verità vi Spiego Sull’Amore.

Other titles include Belle & Sebatian, Belle & Sebastian: The Adventure Continues and Oscar-nominated Land of Mine.

TIM said that the deal confirmed its commitment to bring increasingly better quality films to its line-up.

The TIMVision VOD service offers over 10,000 cartoons, films, TV series and documentaries, via ADSL and fibre through the TIMVision set-top box. The service is also available on the web and on smart TVs with a dedicated app, as well as on-the-go via Apple and Android smartphones and tablets, and Windows 8 smartphones.

Rome-based Notorious Pictures produces, acquires and markets film rights through multiple channels.
