Russian service provider Rostelecom has named Boris Glazkov as vice-president. Glazkov previously served as director of the company’s centre for strategic innovation.
In his new role, Glazkov will be tasked with the developing and implementing strategic initiatives for the company’s role in building a digital economy in Russia, the development and promotion of digital technology platforms and management of the group’s industrial competence centre for digitisation of industry and smart cities.
Glazkov joined Rostelecom in 2013, taking over as head of the centre for strategic innovation two years later. He previously held various roles in the information and communication technology sector, including a role in the creation and development of Russia’s e-government initiative.
