Global youth media company Vice will launch its 24-hour television network, Viceland, in Israel later this month.
The channel will be carried by Partner Communications’ newly created TV platform, Partner TV. Viceland programming will be made accessible as part of its next-gen OTT service.
At launch, Viceland Israel programming will include: docuseries Jungletown (created by Sundance-Award Winning director Ondi Timoner); skateboard scavenger show, King of The Road (in collaboration with Thrasher) and marijuana infused culinary series Bong Apetit (with Abdullah Saeed).
Viceland co-presidents Guy Slattery and Derek Freda are overseeing the development of the channel internationally, from show creation, to production, to brand identity.
“Boasting a dynamic and rapidly evolving TV market, Israel is considered a key part of Viceland’s international expansion,” said James Rosenstock, president of Viceland international and chief corporate development officer at Vice Media.
“With a shared digital vision and bold approach to accessible, multi-platform outputs, we’re excited for what’s to come with Partner Communications”.
