Video ad serving platform SpotX has created a new consulting arm to be headed by Allen Klosowski, who joined SpotX in 2013 to head mobile and connected TV initiatives.
Klosowski has been named as VP of the new Advanced Solutions Group, a global consulting arm focused on guiding advertisers’ and media owners’ video advertising strategies, particularly in emerging growth areas including OTT.
The company said that, as linear television and digital video converge, broadcasters, TV networks, telecommunications companies and other enterprise-level companies will increasingly require technical and operational assistance to innovate and transform their business models.
The Advanced Solutions Group will help enterprise-level advertisers and media owners to implement their video advertising strategies. This includes designing systems for data activation, technical set-ups and product development in a way that enables buyers and sellers to transact around context and audience in a real-time, protected framework, SpotX said.
SpotX recently announced partnerships with major OTT players, including Sling TV and Samba TV, and works with most advertising supported OTT service providers in the US.
“Audiences are fragmenting across many different streaming platforms for live and linear content, not just on-demand video, in increasing numbers,” said Klosowski.
“Our broadcast and enterprise customers face significant technical and operational challenges in transitioning to cross-screen monetisation. SpotX’s advanced ad serving tools enable dynamic ad insertion, podding and Audience Lock data protection to help media owners maximise revenue from their content across all screens.”
