Arabsat launches DVB-S2 platform

Satellite operator Arabsat has officially launched its new free-to-air DVB-S2 platform.

The operators said its new platform would carry a number of premium HD channels free-to-air across the Middle East, North Afria and Europe via the BADR-4 satellite at 26° East.

Recent sign-ups to the platform include French international broadcaster TV5 Monde, which is using the platform to broadcast its TV5 Monde Maghreb Orient HD and TV5 Monde Style HD services.
