Vivendi-owned video-on-demand service Dailymotion has launched a new version of its app and its desktop offering in France.
The new Dailymotion.fr site is organised around four main topic areas – news, sport, music and entertainment – with priority given to premium content.
Dailymotion has content deals in place with Universal Music, CNN and Vice, as well as local and national TV, radio and web organisations.
The French VOD service said that the new version of Dailymotion has a faster, more personalised and relevant interface, an HTML5 video player, and a search engine featuring more intelligent algorithms.
