Arris’ low-cost Qi3 HD set-top box, which is designed to offer next-generation connected TV services, has achieved key security certifications.
Arris claimed it is one of the first devices in this class to achieve both CAL and iTASS certifications.
“The CAL and iTASS certifications enable Arris to bring the Qi3 – and the next era of integrated video services it promises – to a broad range of service providers,” said Larry Robinson, Arris president, customer premises equipment.
“This platform will offer a crucial time advantage to service providers who count on Arris’ expertise and scale to deliver the latest video services and most popular user experiences to their subscribers.”
The Qi3 can be used as a stand-alone HD set-top or as a multiroom DVR client in a video gateway system, and combines traditional QAM video with OTT and IP content.
