The Royal Television Society has opened its RTS Young Technologist Award 2017 for entries.
The RTS award is aimed at early-career engineers in broadcasting or related industries.
The winner will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the IBC trade exhibition and conference to learn about content creation, management and delivery. The runner up will receive the Coffey Award and a technical book of choice.
The chair of the RTS Young Technologist Award jury, Terry Marsh, said: “With the ever-changing media landscape providing a continuous need for new technologies and innovations, the demand for creative young technologists is greater than ever. This Award will not only give the winner a chance to attend the premier event for the sector, but also provides a talented newcomers with the opportunity to stand out amongst their peers.”
Applicants can download a form via the RTS website and should submit it electronically by 17:00 on Monday May 22.
