Vodafone Portugal has become the first of the country’s ISPs to launch TVI Player, the on-demand service operated by Media Capital-owned commercial broadcaster TVI.
TVI Player includes access to all of TVI’s programmes and those of cable news channel TVI24 for 30 days after their linear airing.
According to TVI, the service will also include original content specifically produced for it.
TVI Player categorises content according to genre, popularity and new content, and give Portuguese viewers access to the last 30 days of soap operas, entertainment shows, news and talks shows. Short videos capturing the ‘best moments’ of shows are also available.
Vodafone subscribers can access TVI Player via the apps section o the user guide or by pressing the interactive red button while watching the TVI and TVI24 linear channels.
TVI Player has previously been available online and on Android and Apple mobile devices.
Vodafone Portugal already offers a range of on-demand services including Netflix, Indie World, Super8, Disney Movies on Demand and Playtime.
