STV Player launches on Roku

Scottish public broadcaster STV has launched its digital service STV Player on Roku streaming players in the UK.

Roku users within STV’s licence area in Scotland will be able to watch catch-up or live content via the over-the-top service.

Roku owners in other UK licence regions will also be able to live stream STV Glasgow and STV Edinburgh and catch-up on original STV Player content.

“Roku streaming players are a fantastic addition to our growing portfolio of platforms as we seek to make STV content available free of charge to viewers anywhere, anytime,” said STV Player product owner, Rémi Brunier.

“We’re pleased to offer Roku’s customers another way to watch STV programmes, whether live or on-demand.”
