Mashable hires former Fullscreen exec

Digital media news site Mashable has appointed former MTV and Fullscreen Media exec, Polly Auritt to work at its Mashable Studios video arm.

Auritt joins as head of programming and development, based in Los Angeles. She joins from Fullscreen where she was vice-president of programming.

Prior to that she was vice-president of scripted series development at MTV Networks.

Turner led a US$15 million funding round in Mashable last year, which the site said it planned to use to expand its video output across all platforms – including linear TV.

The Series C investment included a partnership for video production, technology and advertising opportunities between Mashable and Time Warner-owned Turner.
