TalkTalk taps CSG to enhance mobile TV experience

UK operator TalkTalk is set to revamp its mobile TV experience after extending its partnership with revenue management firm CSG International.

TalkTalk announced at Mobile World Congress that it will integrate CSG’s digital commerce platform to allow customers to watch more content on the go, in and out of the home.

“The large-scale update will offer TalkTalk’s 1.3 million TV customers a more streamlined platform, to make it easier for customers to find everything they want to watch in one place,” said the company in a statement.

Viewers will also be able to use new app features like pre-ordering films, and accessing multiple box-sets in a single purchase through TalkTalk’s ‘Season Pass’.

“This is an exciting new partnership for TalkTalk TV and one that will enable us to accelerate our mobile viewing offering. The integration of the Ascendon platform complements a number of recent innovations aimed at delivering a faster, more intuitive and seamless TV experience,” said Aleks Habdank, managing director of TalkTalk TV.

The rollout will start this summer, with TalkTalk promising more detail on the full suite of new features that will launch in the coming months.
