Barcroft TV launches on Roku

BarcroftRokuOnline short-form content specialist Barcroft is to make its Barcroft TV service available on Roku streaming devices.

Barcroft TV’s short form content will be available via a dedicated channel on Roku’s streaming platform.

The deal is the latest content distribution arrangement struck by Barcroft Media alongside agreements with Sina Weibo, the leading social media platform in China, Rumble.com, a Toronto based online video platform and MobiMedia/RealTime Images, which will distribute Barcroft content to local African partners including MTN, Vodafone, Huawei and Safaricom.

Barcroft said its YouTube channel recently surpassed 2.6 million subscribers and exceeded 2.3 billion total video views.

Roku streaming players and Roku TV devices are available in 10 countries. The company has about 13 million active customers who streamed over nine billion hours of video and music last year.

“Barcroft Media is committed to building additional reach in priority markets and getting in front of audiences in new ways so we’re delighted to launch the Barcroft TV channel on Roku streaming devices.  Roku is one of the most popular streaming platforms, so it’s a perfect home for the amazing content we create everyday,” said Victoria Catton, head of partnerships at Barcroft Media.
