Kwesé TV kicks off in Zambia

KweseLifestyleImage2Econet Media’s pay TV service Kwesé TV has continued its expansion programme with the official launch of the service in Zambia.

The launch at Lusaka’s Polo Club at the end of last week marked the launch of Kwesé’s satellite offering in the country and the Zambian debut of the Kwesé Free Sports channel, Kwesé’s free-to-air chyannel that carries content including highights from NBA basketball and English Premier League football.

The Zambian service is available for ZMW250 (€23) a month, with weekly passes of ZMW75 or a three-day pass for ZMW75.

Kwesé kicked off its African DTH rollout at the end of last month.

Zimbabwean businessman and founder of parent company Econet Wireless, Strive Masiyiwa, said that Kwese TV will roll out to another 18 countries by June.
