Sky Deutschland names sales chief

Sky Deutschland has named Thomas Menneking as its new senior vice-president of sales.

Menneking, who took up his new role yesterday, will be responsible for Sky’s sales structure and strategy in Germany.

Menneking, who will report to customer group executive vice-president Gaetano Pannitto, was previously vice-president of field sales for the pay TV operator. He will remain temporarily in charge of this activity, according to Sky.

He replaces Kai Mitterlechner, who has left the company at his own request.

Pannitto said that Menneking had an “impressive and long-term record in sales” and said he would contribute to Sky’s ongoing growth story.
