Vivendi-owned French pay TV operator Canal+ has tapped video advertising specialist FreeWheel to optimise and manage its advertising inventory across all screens.
The partnership will see Canal+’s sales house, Canal+ Régie, integrate FreeWheel’s technology to unify and manage its inventory.
Canal+ Régie will useFreeWheel’s Monetisation Rights Management solution and SSP platform, which was created following the acquisition of StickyADS.tv in May this year.
The platform will support Canal+ Régie’s management of its video inventory across all screens for both live streams and on demand programming.
“We now have at our disposal a powerful solution that will allow us to unify all our platforms and offer our brand and agency clients an ultra-premium inventory. FreeWheel is a key partner to our business strategy that will help us deliver an efficient commercial service that will meet the demands of today’s advertising market,” said Francine Mayer, managing director, Canal+ Régie.
“We are thrilled to have been chosen by Canal+, one of the most highly regarded media brands, from content production to distribution, in the French landscape,” said Thomas Brémond, managing director at FreeWheel Europe.
“This partnership represents an important milestone for FreeWheel as we continue to strengthen our position within Europe and enable premium video publishers to effectively manage their inventory and increase yield within a disrupted and disparate market.”
