OTT service Megogo launches HDR TV with LG

Ukrainian and Russian OTT video-on-demand service Megogo has made HDR TV content available to users of its services with HDR-enabled LG TV sets.

The HDR content will be available via Megogo’s apps on the LG Super UHD and LG OLED TV models in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Russia and the Baltic states.

About 10 HDR movies will be available via the Movies and TV SVOD offering and via transactional VOD. The initial line-up of titles includes The Hateful Eight, Gods of Egypt, Voice of the Big Country, Champions: Faster. Higher. Stronger, Mafia: The Survival Game, Flight crew, Pure Art, Youth and Criminal.

“We have implemented HDR technology designed to enhance the viewing experience of our customers. However, the benefits of the innovation can be perceived only if the applicable content is available in every country. Now this issue is resolved for Ukraine as well,” said Chang Hwang Jung, president of LG Electronics in Ukraine.
